Balgarianovinite.com The withdrawal of the 2026 State Budget Bill carries a political cost that the ruling parties are unwilling to pay, MP Hasan Ademov of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) told reporters in the Parliament’s lobby. He said that the 2026 draft state budget should be withdrawn and that there is no problem in doing so. Ademov added that it is up to the Parliament to decide how to proceed.
According to him, the parties have come together to defend the national interest, which includes maintaining stable fiscal policy. “Unfortunately, the ruling majority is using the budget to protect its narrow partisan interests,” Ademov said.
He argued that until there are clear answers on issues such as the minimum wage, social security contributions, the social benefits package, and automatic mechanisms in sectoral policies, there can be no satisfactory response to public concerns directed at the governing coalition. Hasan Ademov voiced hope that answers would be provided on Tuesday, following the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation meeting.
