Influential radio host Charlamagne Tha God credited President Donald Trump with completely changing the political landscape over the past decade, and goaded Democrats to be honest with the American people.
“Donald Trump shows me what’s politically possible,” he said on The Breakfast Club on Monday. “Trump shows me what presidents can do when they want to do it. Donald Trump shows me what can be said if you’re willing to say it. It’s not about what can’t be done; it’s about who has the political will to do it.”
He then pushed Democrats to take a page out of Trump’s playbook.
“I don’t want to hear a peep from Democrats about nothing until they get the ball to say what’s really on their mind in regards to this country and this world,” he said. “Trump doesn’t care if it sounds ridiculous. Trump doesn’t care if it doesn’t make sense. It’s no political correctness whatsoever. As I’ve been saying for years, the language of politics is dead and Donald Trump killed it, period.”
Charlamagne’s praise for Trump was particularly interesting after his August appearance on Lara Trump’s Fox News show, My View with Lara Trump.
When the president’s daughter-in-law asked how he would rate Trump’s second term so far, he responded: “I wouldn’t give it a good rating, simply because the least of us are still being impacted by the worst.”
Of the president’s Big Beautiful Bill, Charlamagne claimed, “There’s going to be so many people that’s hurt by that bill,” adding, “Anything that takes away Medicaid from people and will put people in a worse financial situation than they were previously in, I’m not for.”
Trump called Charlamagne a “low-IQ individual” on Truth Social following the interview, claiming he “has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth and knows nothing about me or what I have done.”
