President Donald Trump attacked former FBI Director James Comey. in a new social media rant amid accusations such attacks strengthen Comey’s case against the indictment he faces.
After Trump publicly pressured Attorney General Pam Bondi to go after a list of enemies in a DM-style Truth Social post and again in remarks to reporters, the Comey indictment dropped on Thursday, with a defiant Comey pledging to fight it out in court.
But many have observed that Trump, who continues to rail against Comey uncontrollably, could be helping Comey build a case for malicious prosecution.
That apparently hasn’t deterred Trump, who went after Comey again in a Friday night Truth Social post. Trump wrote:
I’d like to thank Kash Patel, and the outstanding members of the FBI, for their brilliant work on the recent Indictment of the Worst FBI Director in the History of our Country, James “Dirty Cop” Comey. The level of enthusiasm by the FBI was incredible, but only caused by the fact that they knew Comey for what he is, and was, a total SLIMEBALL! Again, thank you to the FBI and, specifically, those that worked on this case with U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, and the DOJ. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DJT
That post was part of a social media tear that also included a post in which he raged at Microsoft to “immediately” fire former Deputy Attorney General and current President of Global Affairs Lisa Monaco:

Because of Monaco’s many wrongful acts, the U.S. Government recently stripped her of all Security Clearances, took away all of her access to National Security Intelligence, and banned her from all Federal Properties.
