The president also had a compliment for Google, which you can see below. Here is what the president said on Saturday afternoon in a post on Truth Social:

I hope Univision, a great and very popular Hispanic Network, can get BACK onto the very amazing Google/YouTube. It has been taken out of their package, which is VERY BAD for Republicans in the upcoming Midterms. They were so good to me with their highest rated ever political Special, and I set a Republican Record in Hispanic voting. Google, for the purpose of FAIRNESS, please let Univision back! President DJT

Trump’s public push comes after TelevisaUnivision channels were pulled off of YouTube on Sept. 30 in a carriage dispute. Variety reported Univision is the “biggest Spanish-language broadcaster in the U.S., with 59 owned and/or operated stations.”

His comments also come a year after he surprised many pundits by performing so well among Latino voters. A Pew Research Center analysis in July found Trump won 48% of Latino voters — up significantly from 2020, when he won 36% of Latino voters and in 2016, when he won 28%.

The president’s pro-Univision post comes just days after Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) blasted Trump for posting a video where Jeffries wore a mustache and sombrero. Jeffries complained the instantly-viral clip was “racist and fake.”

Vice President JD Vance, later in the week, shrugged off the congressman’s complaint.

“Hakeem Jeffries said it was racist, and I know that he said that. And I honestly don’t even know what that means,” Vance said on Wednesday. “Like, is he a Mexican-American that is offended by having a sombrero meme?”

He added: “The President’s joking and we’re having a good time. You can negotiate in good faith while also poking a little bit of fun at some of the absurdities of the Democrats’ positions and even, you know, poking some fun at the absurdity of the Democrats themselves.”
