Balgarianovinite.com There Is Such a People (TISP) top-of-the-list candidate Toshko Yordanov met residents and business representatives in the Plovdiv Region, the party press service said Thursday.
The event took the form of a direct public dialogue, with an open exchange of views on key issues for the country and the region.
Among the main topics were the wars in Iran and Ukraine, their effect on international and national security, the energy markets and the fuel price crisis. The issue of imports of Russian gas through intermediaries was also discussed, and participants said energy security is directly linked to national security and requires clear decisions to defend Bulgaria’s interest.
Participants also sharply raised the question of the caretaker government’s actions over the fuel crisis and its delayed response to the Iranian diplomatic note about the US tanker aircraft at Sofia Airport.
“When it comes to national security, silence and a lack of transparency cast doubt on the adequacy of the caretaker cabinet!” Yordanov said. He added that in the 52nd National Assembly, as a conservative party, TISP will continue to defend the traditional Bulgarian family and a safe environment for children’s development, without homosexual propaganda in schools.
