Balgarianovinite.com Starting in May 2026, Topola Skies Resort & Aquapark will be launching its first wellness retreats focused on yoga and detox, the resort’s manager Dobromir Valev told BTA.
He said that holidays should be a time for “resetting both body and mind”, adding that the resort aims to offer a healthy menu featuring locally sourced products and vegan options. One of the main challenges, he noted, is overcoming the stereotype of all-inclusive holidays as excessive consumption. “Families are no longer just looking for a place to stay, but for a closed ecosystem that guarantees safety and entertainment,” he said.
The complex is developing a concept of a self-contained tourism environment oriented toward family leisure, including an aquapark, rope park, zip line, eco trail to the sea, and heated pools. The grounds are landscaped and secured, and rooms have been renovated with a modern design.
A full renovation and expansion of the spa area is also planned, with the aim of extending the tourist season and turning the resort into a year-round wellness destination. The current thermal zone includes a Finnish and herbal sauna, salt and ice rooms, a steam bath, an adventure cave, and relaxation areas.
Among the advantages of the location is the opportunity for climate therapy, thanks to the combination of sea air and forest vegetation, which is believed to support the immune system.
According to Valev, tourists in 2026 are increasingly seeking “personalized experiences, care for the body, and escape from urban noise, without compromising on comfort”. He added that the Kavarna and Balchik region is gradually establishing itself as an attractive destination for this type of tourism.
He also said Bulgaria should position itself more boldly as a wellness destination on the international market. Early bookings for 2026 are already in full swing, with strong interest from Bulgarian, Romanian, and Polish guests. Early planning, he added, ensures not only better conditions but also availability during the most desirable periods at the hotel.
