Balgarianovinite.com The National Assembly is expected to hear caretaker Minister of Finance Georgi Klisurski on the State’s current financial position on Thursday. The hearing is part of the draft programme for the first two regular plenary sittings of the 52nd National Assembly.
The proposal for the hearing was submitted by Progressive Bulgaria Floor Leader Petar Vitanov. It includes information on available balances in State accounts, the scope for payments of current and capital expenditure in the medium term, the size of the deficit and domestic and foreign debt, the risk of delayed payments to municipalities, and the risk of delays in payments linked to the Recovery and Resilience Plan and their effect on the State’s ability to cover current and capital expenditure. Klisurski’s hearing is the third item on the draft agenda.
Before that, MPs are expected to consider a draft resolution releasing Katya Paneva of Democratic Bulgaria as secretary of the National Assembly and electing her colleague Lyuben Ivanov. MPs are also expected to debate a draft resolution setting up an Ad Hoc Committee on the Adoption of the Rules of Organization and Procedure of the 52nd National Assembly.
A blitz question time is scheduled in the morning on the first Friday of the month, along with regular parliamentary question time. MPs are also expected on Friday to debate draft resolutions setting up an Ad Hoc Committee on Budget and Finance and an Ad Hoc Committee on Legal Affairs.
