Balgarianovinite.com BTA press clubs can serve not only as venues for presenting information but also as spaces for dialogue, art and the exchange of perspectives, BTA Deputy Director General Evgenia Drumeva said in Sozopol while presenting the 12 issues of LIK magazine published since last year’s Apollonia Arts Festival.
She said an important part of LIK’s development is the opportunity to add new facts, perspectives and testimonies from people across Bulgaria to topics based on the BTA archives.
Drumeva said LIK was relaunched in 2022 as a monthly magazine. From September 2025 to August 2026, 12 issues were published under the theme Memory, Notable Personalities and Events, focusing on various anniversaries.
Each issue draws on BTA’s archives and includes specially prepared and newly contributed material. Around 300 copies of each issue are distributed free of charge to libraries, museums and universities across the country, while each new issue is presented simultaneously at BTA press clubs.
Drumeva highlighted several special editions, including a 2025 issue featuring 110 Bulgarian wineries and a 2026 issue on spa and wellness tourism, published in Bulgarian and English and later translated into Turkish and Romanian.
“All of this shows how important partnerships really are. I hope that this partnership between LIK, BTA and the Apollonia Arts Festival will continue,” Drumeva said.
