Balgarianovinite.com At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Bulgarian government approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria’s Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China on establishing a joint working group for investment cooperation.
The document provides for the creation of a joint working group to support the development of investment relations between the two countries. On the Bulgarian side, the group will be chaired by the Bulgarian Investment Agency, while the Chinese side will be represented by the Department of Overseas Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.
The memorandum envisages the establishment of a mechanism for regular communication and the exchange of information on investment-related legislation, regulations and policies. It also provides for the creation of a cooperation platform and encourages participation in seminars, exhibitions and other initiatives related to investment cooperation.
The working group is expected to facilitate the exchange of information on investment projects and opportunities in Bulgaria and China, as well as discussions on issues of mutual interest. Cooperation will be carried out in accordance with the applicable European and national legal frameworks.
The Bulgarian government also approved three draft memoranda between the Bulgarian Investment Agency and Chinese companies. The first is with Shanghai Grand Sun Hydrotherapy System and provides for cooperation on the implementation of the company’s investment project in Bulgaria. The other two memoranda are with China Global Advisory and Hangzhou Bosom New Materials Technology. The three decisions are related to recent amendments to the Investment Promotion Act and the implementation of the companies’ investment projects in Bulgaria.
The Bulgarian Investment Agency will provide information on the country’s investment policy, industrial planning, tax incentives, industrial zones and infrastructure.
