Labour Ministry, Child Protection Agency Developing Single Information System for Receiving Alerts 2026

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the State Agency for Child Protection (SACP) will work to develop an information system that will centralize all alerts submitted to state institutions and child protection bodies, Minister Nataliya Efremova said at an event marking the SACP’s 25th anniversary, the Labour Ministry reported Friday.
“Through the new system, we will be able to better monitor the concentration of alerts using new technologies, so that we can more quickly identify potential areas where our children may be at risk,” the Minister explained.
Efremova underscored the need for more effective prevention of violence and aggression among and against children. As good examples in this regard, she highlighted the SACP’s initiatives, including the national campaign “Be Brave, Be Kind,” the National Children’s Helpline, and the CyberKidz mobile app. “Every child should grow up in a safe and nurturing environment and have the opportunity to express their opinion on important issues in their life,” the Minister said.
Efremova expressed satisfaction that society is becoming increasingly sensitive to cases of aggression involving children. “We cannot remain silent about them. On the contrary, we all have a duty to report them,” the Minister stated.
During the event, Efremova presented her Ministry’s Distinction Award to Dr. Teodora Ivanova, Executive Director of the State Agency for Child Protection, for the Agency’s contribution to the development of policies for the protection of children’s rights.
The event was attended by National Assembly Chair Mihaela Dotsova, Deputy Ministers of Labour and Social Policy Nadiya Klisurska and Liliya Stoyanovich, former chairs of the State Agency for Child Protection, representatives of government institutions and other organizations, as well as members of the Children’s Council.
In her speech, National Assembly Chair Dotsova called the employees of the Agency for Child Protection “Bulgaria’s unsung heroes.” She said their work was measured by the number of smiles they brought, rather than the number of reports they wrote.
