At its weekly meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands. The Minister of Finance has been authorized to sign it, the Government Information Service reported on Wednesday.
The document is valid until December 31, 2030, and expands and facilitates the exchange of knowledge, experience and technical expertise between the two ministries and other competent institutions involved in public finances.
These objectives will contribute to achieving the priorities and goals of the Bulgarian government for responsible and predictable fiscal policy, effective management of public expenditure, a stable financial system and transparency, sustainability of public finances and effective administration, as set out in the Governance Programme of the Republic of Bulgaria for the 2026–2030 period, the press release reads.
The activities in implementation of the Memorandum will be included in annual bilateral cooperation programmes.
