Laura Loomer, the conspiracy theorist and longtime Trump loyalist, has hit her final straw with the president.
On Friday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that a Qatari air force facility would soon be built in Idaho.
“Today, we’re announcing a letter of acceptance in building a Qatari Emiri Air Force facility at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho,” declared Hegseth at a press conference also featuring his Qatari counterpart, Minister of Defense Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.
“We’re glad to welcome you here. We’re grateful for the strong partnership that we have, the way you support our troops at Al Udeid,” added Hegseth, who also revealed that “The location will host a contingent of Qatari F-15s and pilots to enhance our combined training, increase lethality, interoperability. It’s just another example of our partnership. And I hope you know, Your Excellency, that you can count on us.”
Loomer, an outspoken critic of Qatar who has expressed bigoted views toward Muslims and celebrated the deaths of drowning migrants in the Mediterranean Sea, did not take the news well.
“What the hell is going on? Why are we trying to train more Muslims how to fly planes on US soil? Didn’t we already learn our lesson? Why are we encouraging more Islamic infiltration of our country by the funders of HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood?” wrote Loomer in one post.
“If the GOP continues to Islamify our country and continues to allow funders of Islamic terrorism from Qatar to come into our country when they have a documented history of funding Islamic terror, I am not voting in 2026 and won’t be able to encourage others to vote either,” she added in the next. “I didn’t vote for the Islamification of my country. If the GOP is going to allow Muslims to have military bases on US soil when they know these Qataris are funding HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood, then voting in 2026 is a waste of time.”
“Never thought I’d see Republicans give terror financing Muslims from Qatar a MILITARY BASE on US soil so they can murder Americans. I don’t think I’ll be voting in 2026. I cannot in good conscience make any excuses for the harboring of jihadis. This is where I draw the line,” she wrote in yet another tweet.
And there was plenty more where that came from.
Last month, Trump signed an executive order pledging to come to Qatar’s aid should it be attacked, and earned the ire of many conservatives for doing so.
“What about assuring our own safety from Qatar?” mused Loomer after the news of the pledge broke. “Every single day, Qatar floods our country with billions of $ of funding for radical left, communist, & Islamist causes on college campuses and major institutions. Qatar also financed Iran before they tried to assassinate Trump.”
