A Russian strike damaged a postal operator’s logistics facility in the southern part of Ukraine’s Odesa region, regional military administration head Oleh Kiper said on Telegram on Monday.
“The building’s facade, windows and equipment were damaged. No casualties were reported,” Kiper said.
He added that the relevant emergency services were working to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 – 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
