Marjorie Taylor Greene took her criticism of President Donald Trump and MAGA to a new level, calling the movement “disgusting and unrecognizable” after video from a recent Trump rally captured a woman in the crowd being attacked.
“Late stage MAGA is so disgusting and unrecognizable to me, and I find this shocking as one who attended more Trump rallies than I can count,” Greene wrote on X on Wednesday.
The former congresswoman was responding to video out of Youngstown, Ohio, where a female protester wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt stood up and was physically attacked by multiple men before she was removed by security, according to video from the event.

Youngstown Mayor Derrick McDowell (I) released a statement on Tuesday afternoon, condemning what he saw in the video.
“Regardless of someone’s political affiliation or their point of view, every person attending a public event has the right to do so without fear of being assaulted or threatened,” he said. “I condemn this senseless conduct unequivocally.”
Greene slammed MAGA, which she was once a vocal and loyal member of, as a cult being led “astray” by the president. The Epstein files were partly what led to Greene’s ultimate break with MAGA and the president, as well as the Iran war and more.
Greene slammed the administration for the heavy redactions in the files they released related to convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, while Trump dismissed calls for more to be released and branded theories about Epstein sex trafficking for high profile associates a “hoax.”
Greene wrote on X:

Then our obese President makes fun of her calling her “fat” and “him” claiming she’s a paid protestor.
She got thrown out and the men who attacked her got to stay.MAGA rallies used to be filled with people who agreed with releasing the Epstein files, defended women, and would step in if a woman was attacked.
Now the dying remnant of MAGA is made up of people who emulate their cult leader.

It’s a cult, an ugly grotesque cult that does not display Christian values because the cult leader himself is not a Christian even though the vast majority who attend his rallies would identify as Christian.
Know them by their fruit.

Rally security was provided by the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office and the Secret Service.

The Tuesday rally was slightly delayed and Trump mocked the woman as she was removed, calling her a “very low-class protester.”
Apparently not realizing the protester was a woman, Trump also mocked her weight, calling her a “fat guy” who needs to go on a diet.
“They’re all paid. They get paid by the lefties in order to destroy our country. They’re scum. But he’s going back home to mom,” Trump said.
