Drudge Report Roasts Trump Fawning Over GOP Senator’s Derriere With Wild Homepage Design 2026
Author David Corn claimed Jon Stewart gave President Donald Trump “too much credit” when he suggested the president wanted a more “stable” world.
Corn appeared on Monday’s episode of The Daily Show to talk abut his new book, “How Russia Won: Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and the Fight for America.” During their conversation, Stewart asked Corn if Trump truly believed that a “triumvirate” of “authoritarian” powers — Russian, China, and the U.S. — would lead to more stability in the world.

“In your mind, does Donald Trump truly believe that the world would be a safer, more stable, more prosperous place if it was run by three authoritarians, a triumvirate of Russia, China, and the United States?” Stewart asked. “Does he truly believe that those alliances are not what keeps us on a more prosperous path?”
Corn insisted that stability was not on the president’s mind at all.

“I think, Jon, you’re giving him too much credit,” Corn said. “You’re saying that he’s thinking about the stability and security of the rest of the world. I don’t think he is! I think this is very much driven from what he wants for himself and for those around him.
“If he has a geopolitical theory about why you can sabotage democracy in Ukraine, toss them overboard, and cut deals with a guy who’s an indicted war criminal, who has kidnapped thousands of Ukrainian children, and who is lobbing bombs at civilian sites– if he has a geopolitical theory about why that’s good for the rest of us, I’d like to hear it.”
Trump sparked bipartisan outrage late Friday when he signed an executive order Friday night waiving a slew of new Russia-related sanctions approved by Congress, just a week after announcing a diesel deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin to help bring down U.S. fuel prices.

The move appalled critics, including Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Thom Tillis (R-NC).
“Lindsey would be appalled,” Cornyn wrote on X early Saturday.
“Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand?” Tillis wrote on X early Saturday.
