The government will discuss on Wednesday amendments to the Public Finance Act and additional grants to compensate parents for expenses incurred when their children are not admitted to municipal daycare due to a lack of available places. This is included in the preliminary agenda for the Council of Ministers’ meeting, the government press service said.
The Cabinet will also consider draft amendments to the Fiscal Council and Automatic Correction Mechanisms Act and the Civil Aviation Act.
Two draft decrees provide for funding to compensate parents whose children were not admitted to municipal or public daycare due to a lack of available places. The compensation covers the periods from November 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026, and from July 1 to August 31, 2026.
The government will also discuss the designation of peacetime activities for which military aircraft may be used by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health.
The Cabinet will consider a draft decision on the expropriation of private properties for the construction of the Vidin-Medkovets railway section, part of the Vidin-Sofia line.
Another item on the agenda is the approval of a draft memorandum on economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia as a basis for negotiations.
