Balgarianovinite.com The Council of Ministers has adopted a decision Tuesday to propose to the National Assembly that it ratify the Framework Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federal Council of Switzerland on the implementation of the Second Swiss Contribution to Selected European Union Member States, signed on October 28, 2025 in Sofia, to support measures in the field of migration.
The Framework Agreement provides for the implementation of the following measures, worth CHF 21.35 million:
– cultural mediation and support for asylum seekers in Bulgaria:
– strengthening the national child protection system and the specialised approach to protecting the rights of refugee and migrant children in Bulgaria;
– digitization of international protection procedures;
– establishment of a unit for the initial reception of unaccompanied refugee and migrant children;
– improving accommodation and living conditions in safe zones for unaccompanied children in Bulgaria.
