Balgarianovinite.com The caretaker government is focusing its efforts on summarizing business proposals, which will be combined with the government’s analysis, in order to propose the most effective measures possible to address the consequences of the crisis in the Middle East as stated by caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov during a meeting on Thursday. Gurov held a discussion with industry organizations from the tourism sector at the Council of Ministers, as quoted on Facebook by the government’s press service.
The discussion is part of the dialogue between the Cabinet and representatives of various economic sectors in preparing a comprehensive package of measures in connection with the crisis in the Middle East and its impact on Bulgaria.
Gurov stressed that in the context of an extended budget, the most effective measures are targeted assistance aimed at the most vulnerable units in business. He called on industry organizations to be proactive and propose which sectors and activities should receive priority support.
“We have a plan that aims to support business while at the same time avoiding an inflationary crisis,” he said.
According to him, the complicated situation in the global economy requires the caretaker cabinet to act responsibly and ensure predictability through working measures for Bulgarian business. “We are controlling the crisis before it reaches the end consumer,” the Prime Minister added.
Earlier in the day, the caretaker Prime Minister met with representatives of branch organizations in agriculture and livestock breeding.
