Balgarianovinite.com The Management Board of State Fund for Agriculture has decided to provide extraordinary aid for 2026 in the amount of EUR 42.6 million for farmers in animal breeding and crop farming, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food announced on Thursday.
The funds are intended to cover part of the production costs of farmers for the current year. Support will be received by livestock breeders raising cows, heifers, ewes, goats and bee colonies. In the crop farming sector, eligible for support will be producers of greenhouse produce, potatoes, cultivated mushrooms, oil-bearing rose and nuts such as walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts.
The approved unit rates for one animal are up to EUR 70 for dairy cows included in breeding programs and for buffaloes. The aid for cows of endangered breeds, dairy cows and cattle in mountainous areas is up to EUR 60. For beef cows included in breeding programs, the rate is up to EUR 50, and for beef cows – up to EUR 35.
The support for ewes and goats included in breeding programs and from breeds endangered by extinction is up to EUR 11 per animal, and for animals in mountainous areas and under the Transitional National Aid, the rate is up to EUR 8. For a bee colony, the aid is up to EUR 6.
In crop farming, greenhouse producers will be eligible to receive up to EUR 4,000/ha for heated greenhouses and up to EUR 2,000/ha for unheated ones. For potatoes, the aid is up to EUR 700/ha, and for oil-bearing rose up to EUR 500/ha, for cultivated mushrooms up to EUR 10/sq m and for nuts up to EUR 300/ha.
The total amount of aid provided to one farm cannot exceed EUR 50,000 for a period of three years, the Ministry said.
