Balgarianovinite.com Yovita Grigorova, Deputy Appellate Prosecutor at the Burgas Appellate Prosecution Office, has been nominated for election to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) from the prosecutors’ quota, the Council’s press centre said on Friday.
She was nominated by magistrates from the appellate, district and regional prosecution offices in Burgas, Sliven and Yambol, as well as the Pomorie and Aytos territorial divisions of the Burgas Regional Prosecution Office.
The nominators cited the professional trust built through many years of working with Grigorova and highlighted her professionalism, teamwork skills, ability to handle a heavy workload, openness to dialogue and organisational discipline. They said her extensive experience and professional qualities make her well suited to serve on the SJC.
Grigorova has more than 31 years of legal experience, including over 28 years as a magistrate. She previously served as administrative head of the Pomorie Regional Prosecution Office before becoming a prosecutor and subsequently Deputy Appellate Prosecutor at the Burgas Appellate Prosecution Office. She has also served as spokesperson for the Burgas Appellate Prosecution Office since 2010.
