Things are not looking rosy for Republicans when it comes to the midterms based on where President Donald Trump’s Super PAC is choosing to put its money.
According to a report from The New Republic’s Greg Sargent, Trump’s Super PAC, MAGA Inc., is dropping money on races in House districts that the president easily carried in his 2024 election against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Sargent obtained the TV ad buy data from a “Democratic source,” who “relied on Democratic Party ad-tracking data.” Trump’s Super PAC has pumped $100 million out, dispensing it to two smaller organizations, No Going Back PAC and Safety and Affordability PAC. According to the spending data, the PAC is dropping money in 17 House districts that Trump won by more than five points in 2024 and six districts he carried by double digits.
The New York Times reported, via AdImpact data, that the No Going Back PAC has reserved $95 million worth of ads. The Safety and Affordability PAC will be dropping another $27 million. MAGA Inc. went into the midterms with a war chest of approximately $400 million. The No Going Back PAC is focusing on Senate races, while the other is focusing on House races. MAGA Inc. has also sunk $9 million into Texas’s Senate race, where Republican Ken Paxton is facing Democrat James Talarico.
Of the races MAGA Inc.’s spending is focused on, 19 are solid GOP districts and 26 were previously won by Trump. At the top of the list is Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R-TX), who is facing Bobby Pulido in her race. The district was carried by Trump by more than 17 points in 2024.
Sargent argued part of the issue Trump is facing is a slippage in support among Latinos amid his controversial mass deportation efforts by ICE.
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten noted this fall in support this week. In 2024, Trump was trusted among non-college Latinos over Harris by nine points on the issue of immigration. He now sits at more than 40 points negative among that same group on the issue.
“Adios, amigos. Goodbye, see you later. Look at his net approval rating now in an average of polls — CNN, SSRS polls across 2026 — he’s 42 points underwater! That is a switcheroo, Kate Bolduan, of what, 43 points shifting away from the President of the United States. His support rapidly declining, plummeting among working-class Latinos, a group that helped get him elected back in 2024,” Enten reported.
