Vazrazhdane’s presidential candidate Kostadin Kostadinov said here on Friday that his goal as president would be to restore the prosperity, independence, well-being and strength of the Bulgarian State. He said that one of the campaign’s goals is to remind the Bulgarian people that they can be independent, that everything depends on them, and that they can achieve anything.
Kostadinov said: “We at Vazrazhdane are confident that we can ensure we fulfil the five key priorities that the Bulgarian people have told us we must pursue as politicians and statespersons.” The priorities he listed were an independent Bulgarian state and independent governance; the prosperity and unity of the Bulgarian people; restoring the country’s educational and scientific progress; and restoring the strength of the Bulgarian State. He added: “Without armed forces, we cannot guarantee our independence, our prosperity or our scientific progress.”
In his words, anyone who wants to be President of Bulgaria must be able to engage with everyone, rather than shutting themselves away in their own bubble of sympathizers and supporters, because this could be a deceptive illusion that offers no guarantee of success. “The next common national goal, our national cause, our national ideal, must be formulated and adopted jointly by as many Bulgarians as possible, so that it can be accepted as a common cause,” Kostadinov said.
