Why did the Democrats lose the 2024 election? Because then-President Joe Biden sabotaged his own party, according to Chris Cuomo.
The NewsNation host argued Biden was so upset about DNC party leaders wanting to replace him at the top of the ticket that he foisted ex-Vice President Kamala Harris on them at the last minute; Biden’s sly revenge led to the party getting drubbed by President Donald Trump, Cuomo claimed on the Sept. 24 episode of his podcast.
“He was so pissed that they didn’t want him to run again, that I believe he submarined the whole thing,” Cuomo said. “I believe he forced Harris on them, I believe he delayed it, I believe he screwed up the process, I believe he wanted to punish them for not letting him run again. I really believe that.”
Cuomo — while donning a shirt with “critical thinker” printed across the front — didn’t go into detail on how Biden “forced” the DNC to make Harris the nominee.
He said Biden will still admit to torpedoing the Dems on purpose, based on people who have heard the ex-president in his “private moments.” Cuomo added he was “very angry” with how the party handled the ’24 race, and that he was so “disgusted” he opted against voting for Harris.
His claim about Biden scheming to wreck the Dems stands out, considering most believe Biden’s dreadful debate performance against Trump was the reason he quit the race. The debate spurred dozens of Democratic lawmakers to urge Biden to drop out, which he did less than a month later.
Former First Lady Jill Biden revealed earlier this year she was “frightened” by her husband’s poor showing at the debate, and wondered if he had suffered a stroke on stage.
