Presidential candidate Kostadin Kostadinov, nominated by Vazrazhdane, presented five key priorities for Bulgaria at a meeting with supporters and citizens in Silistra’s central square. They include the country’s independence and prosperity, social unity, educational, scientific and cultural advancement, and a strong state.
According to Kostadinov, independence means Bulgaria determining its own destiny, while prosperity is linked to security, stability and adequate incomes for citizens. He also highlighted overcoming divisions in society as a priority.
The fourth priority is educational, scientific and cultural advancement. Kostadinov said this was necessary to ensure the country does not fall behind amid rapid developments in technology and artificial intelligence. The fifth is strengthening the state, which he linked to strong armed forces capable of guaranteeing the country’s independence and territorial integrity and the security of its citizens.
Kostadinov said that before the start of the campaign, Vazrazhdane conducted a survey through which the presidential ticket was selected. Nearly 17,000 people took part, he said. He added that his campaign meetings were aimed not only at party sympathizers but at a wider range of citizens. His goal is to visit all regional centres and at least 100 municipalities across the country.
