The 14th National Ornithology Exhibition will be held in Sofia’s Pearl Park from November 5 to 8, the organizers said. It will bring ornithologists and bird breeders to Sofia for an exhibition of canaries and other exotic birds, a competition, and a seminar.
On the competition’s international jury will be judges from the World Ornithological Federation (C.O.M.): Adem Onel (Turkiye), an international judge for colour and posture canaries, and Adriano Bertan (Italy), an international judge for posture canaries. Each competing bird will receive an individual assessment ticket showing the level of its qualities based on the corresponding standard. Special cups will also be awarded.
During the exhibition, judge Onel will host a seminar on the genetics of colour canaries, bird breeding, and the preparation of birds for exhibitions.
The 14th National Ornithology Exhibition will also mark the 25th anniversary of the National Canary Club of Bulgaria.
