Democrats for Strong Bulgaria Call on President to Focus on Fair, Free Elections When Selecting Caretaker PM 2026

Balgarianovinite.com In a decision published Sunday, the national leadership of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) insists that when selecting a caretaker prime minister, the President should be guided by the principle of holding fair, transparent, and free elections. According to DSB, which is part of the Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria parliamentary group, an important guarantee for this is the dismissal of the acting Chairman of the State Agency for National Security (SANS) and the heads of all regional directorates of the Ministry of Interior appointed by the last two interior minister, Kalin Stoyanov and Daniel Mitov. This will remove the front men of the parallel centre of power who are covering up vote buying, the statement reads.
