Presidential candidate Andrey Gurov said at the launch of his election campaign, alongside his running mate Georgi Kandev, that he was offering a presidency based on an independent Bulgaria rather than dependencies.
He said his presidency would have a clear direction and would seek balance rather than confrontation. Gurov added that he would not make promises about everything, but only about what the president could actually do.
Gurov said he would ensure that the rules were applied equally to everyone, defend Bulgaria’s security and independence, and tell people the truth about the cost of everything clearly and in a timely manner. He added that he would be a president for all Bulgarians.
Gurov said he was running because Bulgaria needed a president guided by the interests of Bulgarian citizens and prepared to defend those interests at any cost. He added that Bulgaria currently needed three things: security, stability and independence.
