Balgarianovinite.com Biathlete Milena Todorova finished 59th in the Winter Olympic Games’ shooting event on Wednesday after making five mistakes. She told journalists she had expected better of herself, but that these things happen in sports.
“In recent years, I have found that I get more nervous in individual competitions, where it is very important to shoot cleanly because each penalty adds one minute, and I can’t overcome it. I hope it will be better in the next events. I am healthy now. I lost a lot of time while we were trying to find the cause of my [health] problems. Then I underwent long-term antibiotic treatment, but I am fine now,” Todorova explained.
She added that she does not intend to change anything in her preparation for the sprint in three days. She finished 17th in that event at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
