The Council of Ministers approved on Wednesday the opening of a Bulgarian Embassy in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman. The decision is an important step towards sustaining and further developing the recent intensification of high- and top-level bilateral contacts between Bulgaria and Oman, the Government Information Service reported.
The Embassy is also expected to help raise bilateral relations to a new level and strengthen the protection of Bulgaria’s interests in the key Middle East region.
Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova has been tasked with formally notifying the Omani side of the decision and subsequently taking the necessary steps to implement it.
