Balgarianovinite.com Bulgaria will host one of the major events on the European calendar for young tennis players, with the Junior Orange Bowl European Playoff Series taking place in Burgas October 4-11, the Bulgarian Tennis Federation said.
The official European playoffs offer top U12 and U14 players from Tennis Europe member federations a direct route to the Junior Orange Bowl 2026 in Miami. The tournament is organized by the Bulgarian Tennis Federation in partnership with EDGE International and Burgas Municipality.
The competition will be held on 10 clay courts at Park Ezero in four categories: U12 and U14, boys and girls. The top four players in each category will qualify for the main draw of the Junior Orange Bowl in Miami, giving a total of 16 European players a place in the event.
The main draw will feature 32 players in each category. Twenty-eight places will be allocated based on ITF Juniors, Tennis Europe and national rankings, as well as nominations from national federations, while the organizers will have four wild cards in each category.
The tournament will begin with a group stage, with eight groups of four players competing in a round-robin format. Applications must be submitted online by September 7, with the official list of accepted players due to be published on September 9.
Players not directly accepted may be invited to a pre-qualification tournament starting on September 27. The top four players in each category will qualify for the Junior Orange Bowl European Playoff Series. Entry fees will be fully refunded to players who are neither accepted into the main tournament nor invited to the pre-qualification event.
