Balgarianovinite.com Continue the Change MP Yordan Terziyski told reporters in the parliamentary lobby on Wednesday that there is a political cover-up surrounding the Baba Alino case, and it is being carried out by GERB. He added that the father of a GERB-elected Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is Oleg Nevzorov’s business partner on projects in the Baba Alino area.
Earlier on Wednesday, lawmakers heard Regional Development and Public Works Minister Ivan Shishkov regarding the large-scale illegal construction uncovered in the Baba Alino area of Varna.
“Architect Shishkov said there is political protection surrounding the Baba Alino case, but there is no evidence. I want to confirm that there is political protection, and I want to give him the evidence confirming this fact. This political cover-up is being carried out specifically by GERB, and proof of this is the fact that the father of a GERB MEP is a business partner of Nevzorov’s company on projects in Baba Alino,” Terziyski said. “Furthermore, there is an order approving a detailed development plan from 2022, and it was signed by none other than Yordan Radev and Nevzorov’s company,” Terziyski added. According to him, Varna Municipality is the only one that has taken any measures on this issue.
When asked whether this had continued during the tenure of Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev, Terziyski replied that “this cover-up was initiated and carried out solely by the GERB party.”
