Balgarianovinite.com The Council of Ministers will discuss a draft decision on preparations for and the holding of the presidential and vice-presidential elections scheduled for October 25. The agenda also includes a report on the cash execution of the state budget and the main indicators of the consolidated fiscal programme for the first half of 2026, the Government Information Service said.
The Cabinet will also consider a draft decision adopting a 2026-2030 Action Plan for Bulgaria’s National Financial Literacy Strategy.
The Council of Ministers will discuss a comprehensive review and update of the prices of goods and services provided by holiday facilities, hotels, bungalows, campsites, training and education centres, sports facilities, balneotherapy, spa and wellness centres, as well as catering establishments and other facilities managed by executive authorities and state-owned enterprises.
The agenda also includes a draft decision adopting the National Concept for Regional and Spatial Development for 2026-2040. The Council of Ministers will also discuss the expropriation of properties for state needs for the construction of the Vidin-Medkovets section of the Vidin-Sofia railway line.
The Cabinet is expected to consider a decree on additional transfers to municipal budgets to compensate parents for the costs of raising, caring for and educating children who were not admitted to municipal nurseries or nursery groups due to a lack of available places between May 1 and June 30 this year.
The agenda also includes the establishment of an Interdepartmental Coordination Council on matters concerning the National Children’s Hospital.
The Council of Ministers will discuss a draft decree on additional expenditure under the 2026 budget of the State Fund Agriculture to provide support to farmers due to higher diesel fuel and fertiliser prices resulting from the crisis in the Middle East.
Other items include a draft decision approving the 2026-2028 Programme for Supporting Bulgarian Communities, Organizations and Media Abroad.
The Government will also consider a proposal to the President to issue a decree awarding Neshka Robeva the Order of Stara Planina, First Class. The agenda further includes decisions concerning international agreements, Bulgaria’s relations with other countries, European affairs, and additional expenditure under the budgets of several ministries.
