Megyn Kelly went on a blistering rant against New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) for putting state Attorney General Letitia James in charge of investigating the alleged “Cornell 7” gang rape, with Kelly saying they are “pathetic” partisan stooges who are dead set on convicting the accused men, no matter what the evidence reveals.

“[Hochul] has now appointed someone even more abhorrent and hateful than she is — Letitia James — as special prosecutor in this case,” Kelly said on her Friday show. “And what that means is these boys are f’d!”
Kelly said she has zero faith James will do her job properly when it comes to the news story which has dominated headlines over the past week.

The alleged incident took place at Cornell University in 2024, with the Jane Doe saying she was too inebriated to consent to the group sex and drug use she participated in.
She made her rape claim weeks after texting one of her alleged perpetrators, “At the end of the day non [sic] of the sexual stuff was illegal and honestly I really liked being with u” — which, among other messages, has led to many saying the rape claims are bogus; the local DA declined to pursue charges against the seven men accused, but Hochul appointed James after the case has gained national attention.

Kelly vented more:
[James is] a rabid, fire-breathing hack whose only mission is to put these kids in jail for the rest of their lives. I am very worried for them. I am seriously concerned for these 7 young men, who appear to have engaged in a night of debauchery, [and some] sent out — in the case of one or two of them — f*cking stupid, offensive texts messages.

In particular, Kelly was appalled by a Facebook post James made last week where she sided with the alleged Jane Doe.
“What this young woman has been forced to endure is horrific and unacceptable. I’m holding her in my heart and in my prayers,” James posted. “To her, and to all survivors: you’re not alone. We stand with you.”
Kelly couldn’t believe the same woman was now going to lead the probe.

“You revealed that you have chosen a side!” she said. “A prosecutor’s obligation is to seek justice, not to choose one side or the other!”
Kelly said she was happy James was questioned about the post by one journalist at Hochul’s press conference on Friday, but she wasn’t thrilled James declined to talk about it.
“This is so f*cked up!” Kelly said after a clip of the exchange. “That’s the woman who is now going to decide whether charges are brought against the Cornell 7. The fix is in, these guys are f’d!”
