Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Galab Donev will attend an informal meeting of the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) in Dublin on September 18–19, his ministry’s press office said on Thursday.
During a series of meetings, finance ministers will exchange views on competitiveness in the European banking sector.
The first working session, on September 18, will focus on “The Future of Global Capital – Innovation in the Financial Sector.” The second session, scheduled for September 19, will address “Preparing the Economy for the Future – The Impact of Artificial Intelligence,” with a focus on the labor market.
Minister Donev will hold bilateral meetings with the Governor of the Bank of Greece and Greece’s Deputy Minister of Finance.
Deputy Finance Minister Metodi Metodiev will also attend the informal ECOFIN meeting and the bilateral meetings.
