Balgarianovinite.com Only stable governance can ensure regional development, said Temenuzhka Petkova, top-of-the-list candidate of GERB-UDF in Ruse Region. Together with MP candidate Dragomir Draganov, she met and spoke with residents of the town of Borovo on Saturday, the local chapter of GERB reported.
According to recently released statistics from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Municipality of Borovo ranks among the leaders in terms of funds absorbed under the municipal investment programme. The projects total EUR 2,500,159, of which EUR 1,212,578.97 have been disbursed through the Ministry. “In just the first few months of our administration, we managed to provide real financial support to Bulgarian municipalities by disbursing nearly BGN 750 million under the municipal investment programme. These are funds that reached every corner of the country and made it possible to implement important infrastructure projects, improve the living environment, and provide security for local authorities,” stated Petkova.
“Additionally, through the Bulgarian Development Bank, another BGN 80 million were secured for strategic regional projects. This shows that when there is political will and clear priorities, results come quickly and are visible to the people,” she emphasized.
According to her, this is proof that the State can actively work toward the balanced development of the regions. “I hope that every government will be able to achieve similar tangible and measurable results within the first year of its term,” Petkova added.
