Key figures among President Donald Trump’s most loyal MAGA superfans have had just about enough of the commander in chief’s antics, according to a new report.
At least two founding members of the group, dubbed the Front Row Joes for snagging front-row seats at Trump events, told Politico’s Playbook that they lost hope in the man they once thought could Make America Great Again.
Politico interviewed Trisha Hope and Rick Frazier, who basically gave up their lives to follow Trump around the country, much like the Deadheads of the past who chased The Grateful Dead around the world.
Hope is now calling Trump “a fraud and liar,” the article said, while Frazier said the president “can’t be trusted,”
“Hope joined the Front Row Joes in 2018 after publishing a book of Trump’s posts on then-Twitter called Just the Tweets. It helped pay for travel to rallies across the country in an RV she bought after giving up her apartment in Texas,” the article said. “During Trump’s first impeachment, she spent two weeks in Washington roaming Capitol Hill to defend the president.
“I went to every single senator’s office as well as Republican congressmen,” Hope said at the time. “I did everything I could for him.”
Now, she said she would “be walking the halls of Congress” in support of Trump’s impeachment if Democrats win the midterms and pursue that route.
So, what led Hope to such a dramatic about-face?
“Hope saw her faith shaken during a July 8, 2025 Cabinet meeting when a reporter asked then-AG Pam Bondi about the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Before she could answer, Trump interrupted: ‘Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years,”’ the report said.
Hope told Playbook that moment was “like a dagger in my heart. It was like a light switch went on and a veil lifted, and I saw him for who he was, and I have not been able to unsee it since.”
Now that the proverbial veil has lifted, Hope said she’s also been able to see through Trump’s war with Iran.
“He’s said the war is over 600 different times. He tells us they don’t have a military, they don’t have a navy. They’re still blowing up things. It’s just all lies,” Hope said.
Frazier, who has been to more than 100 Trump rallies, now tells Playbook, “Epstein crimes and feeding the industrial military complex … those are big nos for me. He promoted himself as a no-war president. That didn’t work out.”
“I’m to the point of not going to the polls in November,” Frazier said.
Trump, himself, has estimated the Front Row Joes at 280 members, and Frazier said 95% remain “unwavering” in their support for the president.
