Right-wing anti-Muslim agitator Laura Loomer called on Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin to put his money where his mouth is and deport Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

President Donald Trump has repeatedly said Omar should “get the hell out of our country,” and Mullin seems to have gotten his boss’s message.

At the GOP midterm convention in Texas this week, Mullin told MAGA podcaster Benny Johnson that Omar “married her brother,” and said he was looking into having her deported.

“Something’s going to happen, and this is an ongoing investigation,” Mullin told Johnson. “We know that she married her brother to try to bring him into the United States. We know he lives now in London. We feel that…there may be more to this. The whole family, migration, and possibly some illegal activity for them to come to the United States to begin with. But all of this we’re investigating.”

Mullin claimed that pursuing Omar was “not political.”

“Here’s what I want to make sure we do,” Mullin said, continuing:

If we actually move a case forward, it’s not a political case, it’s actually a case because they did things wrong. If you decided to break the law, or lie on your, on the information you gave the United States, to be able to come into the United States through either asylum or because you were just wanting to seek a better life, but you didn’t tell us who you actually were, you lied about certain things about your application, those things, there’s no expiration to that. If we can prove it, that then you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we’ll deport you.

Mullin reiterated, “But when we move forward, it’s not political, it’s because you chose to break the nation’s laws. I’ve said this multiple times, and I continue to say: I don’t make the laws anymore. I’m in charge of enforcing laws, and I will not pick and choose which laws I’m going to enforce and which laws I’m not.”

“Just do it already,” Loomer taunted Mullin on X. “They always say it but never do it. If you’re going to do it, just do it.”

Loomer also posted a longer screed, writing, “We already know this. I broke this story in 2018 and confronted Ilhan Omar about it on video BEFORE she was elected to Congress.”

“We have known yet she’s protected because she’s a Muslim. What’s the point of talking about it if you aren’t actually going to hold anyone accountable?” Loomer continued. “More red meat for the base with zero accountability? So business as usual I see when it comes to dealing with Muslims in America who break our laws. Who is protecting them? I mean I can’t be the only person who has noticed this right? Arabs seem to have unlimited money.”

Loomer has made her name spreading conspiracy theories about Muslims in the United States, and has wielded considerable influence over Trump’s decision to fire top National Security Council officials.

A spokesperson for Omar did not immediately respond to Mediaite’s request for comment.
