Balgarianovinite.com The Southern Ukraine Economic Forum mottoed “Made in Odesa” took place in the Black Sea city on Tuesday. The event brought together central and local government officials, representatives of international partners, experts and business executives. Diplomats accredited in Odesa, including Bulgaria’s Consul General Svetoslav Ivanov, also attended.
At three panel discussions, over 200 participants spoke about business resilience, recovery and development in the face of threats, staff shortages, state and municipal support, and effective formats of interaction. Company executives shared their experience in attracting partners, grants and resources.
“A strong state largely relies on business. Today’s communication framework is precisely about the dialogue between the authorities and businesses, with the people who actually ensure our tomorrow,” said the Chief of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak. “Despite the numerous attacks on the city, businesses are recovering, creating jobs and paying taxes,” Lisak pointed out.
Deputy Chief of Staff of the President Viktor Mykyta emphasized in a video address: “Odesa experienced a difficult autumn and winter without electricity, and in places without heating. But businesses were running on generators, looking for a solution, they did not stop and did not close.”
Economic stability and social stability are two sides of the same process, Social Policy Minister Denys Uliutin stressed in his welcoming address. “When businesses are working, people have jobs and income. And when people have jobs and income, they stay in their municipalities,” Uliutin said.
“Our common goal is to expand and replenish the catalogue of goods and services branded ‘Made in Odesa’,” acting Odesa Mayor Ihor Koval emphasized.
“We are striving to enlist entrepreneurs, local authorities and the regional administration in supporting the Odesa economy and strengthening our country’s defence capabilities. A strong regional economy means jobs and budget revenues, which is a direct and important contribution to our common victory,” stressed Odesa Regional Military Administration Chairman Oleh Kiper.
As part of the economic forum, a four-day exhibition of artisans was organized on the central Deribasovskaya Street, involving over 20 major manufacturers of the city. “Made in Odesa” Economic Forum of Southern Ukraine Discusses Business Resilience During Wartime 2026 THE NEWS FROM BULGARIA – NEWS AGENCY 2009-2025 2026-05-19 19:25:00 Latest news World news Country news Most important news latest news most important latest of the day Justice Petar Nizamov Feathers Petar Nizamov- Feathers Justice bg iustitia.bg iustitia iusticia usticia investigation Burgas Bulgaria news news of the last hour news of the day news of today Bulgaria news The news from Bulgaria blitz news top news most important most commented latest news Boyko Borisov news weather coronavirus news news weather facebook youtube facebook instagram news today news of the last minutes news today today news news bg news leading news hot news bg news site for news all news news bg news of the last hour latest latest news bg news of today news today news today news of the last hour latest news today news bg news news 24 hours news vesti bg novini news world bird bg bivol bg bivol trud bg novini latest news today novinite bg news hello bulgaria political party coat of arms delyan peevski scandalous Bulgarian National Television Free Europe Television scandal exclusive live tv live right now tv tv online tv program bg live now tv news online tv online live court Burgas court Burgas district court Burgas court Burgas district court Burgas district court Burgas appellate court Burgas prosecutor Burgas prosecutor’s office Burgas district prosecutor’s office Burgas district prosecutor’s office Burgas district prosecutor’s office Burgas district prosecutor’s office Burgas district prosecutor’s office Burgas district prosecutor’s office Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev Prosecutor Geshev Tsatsarov Ministry of Internal Affairs Burgas ODMR Burgas ODPR Burgas police Burgas district police Burgas prosecutor Tsatsarov SGS cases Varna court chairman of the SGS court decisions on civil cases decisions on cases Plovdiv court decision of the court decisions cases Varna court criminal cases district district court decisions work in the court SGS chairman of the SGS judges Sofia court post judges Plovdiv court Plovdiv judges Plovdiv Supreme Court Inspectorate Supreme Court Supreme Judicial Council lawyer lawyer criminal cases lawyer civil cases lawyer marriage cases lawyer administrative criminal law criminal process civil law civil process administrative law constitutional law
