Balgarianovinite.com Nikola Tsolov claimed victory on Sunday in the 2026 British Grand Prix – F2 Silverstone Feature Race, extending his lead over Gabriele Minì at the top of the championship standings. The Campos Racing driver has now won three consecutive races and completed his first double victory of the season after triumphing in both races at Silverstone this weekend.
Tsolov started the feature race from fifth position, having won Saturday’s sprint race after starting sixth.
The Bulgarian made another outstanding start, overtaking three cars on the opening lap, including pole-sitter Rafael Camara, leaving only Kush Maini ahead of him. Both Maini and Tsolov started on the soft tyres and made their mandatory pit stops on lap seven, with the Indian rejoining the track half a second ahead.
Meanwhile, Tsolov’s closest championship rival, Gabriele Minì, started on the hard tyres. The Italian dropped two places to 12th at the start and stayed out longer on his first set of tyres.
Following their pit stops, Maini and Tsolov rejoined in ninth and tenth respectively. With Minì yet to make his stop, Tsolov had little reason to take unnecessary risks against Maini in the early stages. However, by lap 19 he had closed the gap and immediately began applying pressure. One lap later he completed the overtake to move into eighth place.
Minì and the remaining drivers completed their pit stops by lap 26, allowing Tsolov to take the race lead. By then, the Bulgarian had built a five-second advantage over Minì, with Rafael Villagomez emerging between the two after the pit-stop cycle. The Mexican, however, was well behind Tsolov, who controlled the closing stages to take victory by 4.7 seconds.
Maini finished third, while Minì crossed the line in sixth, collecting only eight championship points compared with Tsolov’s 25 for the win. As a result, the Bulgarian extended his lead in the drivers’ standings to 17 points.
