Balgarianovinite.com Overnight, Russia struck civilian merchant vessels in the ports of the Mykolaiv Region, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reported on its Facebook page.
“As a result of the attack, one person was killed and several others were injured. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims,” the USPA wrote.
“The vessels that came under enemy fire have been blocked in Ukrainian ports since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022 and are not conducting commercial voyages,” the USPA’s statement added.
“This is another deliberate strike by Russia on civilian shipping and port infrastructure of Ukraine. The attacks on vessels that have been unable to leave blocked ports for years once again demonstrate the systematic nature of Russian terror against the maritime industry and pose a direct threat to the lives of civilian seafarers,” the USPA stated.
