Balgarianovinite.com President Iliana Iotova will hold consultations with the parties and coalitions represented in the 52nd National Assembly, at which they can present their nominations for members of the Central Election Commission (CEC), as the term of the present CEC expires, the President’s Press Secretariat reported on Friday.
The public hearing on the proposals made by the parliamentary groups will take place on Tuesday, June 9, at the President’s Administration building and will be broadcast live on the institution’s website.
By decree, the head of State approved the rules for the public consultations and the procedure for the appointment. The rules have been published on the presidential institution’s website.
The current CEC is chaired by Kameliya Neykova, with deputy chairs Dimitar Dimitrov, Emil Voinov, Rositsa Mateva, and Tsvetozar Tomov, secretary Sevinch Solakova, and members: Georgi Bahanov, Elka Stoyanova, Erhan Chaushev, Yordanka Gancheva, Krassimir Tsipov, Ljubomir Georgiev, Silvia Stoycheva, Tsvetanka Georgieva, and Gergana Stoyanova.
