Balgarianovinite.com BTA’s BG SPA – Health through Water catalogue is a substantial, polished publication, Bulgarian National Radio’s Radio Bulgaria Editor-in-Chief Krasimir Martinov said on Monday.
Martinov, who heads BNR’s foreign-language service Radio Bulgaria, was speaking at BTA’s National Press Club in Ankara during the presentation of the Turkish–language edition of the catalogue, a thematic publication of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).
He praised BTA’s work on the publication, calling it “magnificent”, and its effort to present Bulgaria abroad. “This is an extremely substantial piece of work, with information presented in a very polished style. Congratulations, Mr Valchev,” Martinov said, addressing BTA Director General Kiril Valchev.
Martinov described BTA as a long-standing and natural partner of BNR, and the national news agency’s information as reliable and accurate. “When we work with information from BTA, we know there is no way we can be misled,” he said.
Martinov also spoke about BNR’s work, and Radio Bulgaria’s in particular, to promote Bulgarian tourism. “BNR’s foreign-language service, Radio Bulgaria, has a dedicated web section for tourism and tourist destinations in 11 languages, including Turkish. Very soon, we will launch a 24-hour online streaming channel in the same 11 languages, and tourism in its various segments will again be among the most prominent topics,” he said, voicing confidence that BTA content would be widely used.
The presentation of BG SPA – Health through Water was also attended by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, Deputy Tourism Minister Mariela Modeva, Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism (BUBSPA) representative Georgi Bogdanov of Augusta SPA Hotel in Hisarya, Balkan Immigrants Economic Research and Social Assistance Foundation (BISAV) Chair Yuksel Yozkale, representatives of Bulgaria’s tourism sector, members of the Bulgarian community in Ankara, Turkish media representatives, and diplomats and guests from Bulgaria and Turkiye.
The BG SPA – Health through Water catalogue was produced in institutional partnership with the Tourism Ministry and with organizational support from BUBSPA. In the publication, BTA, which marked its 128th anniversary in February, presents news from 128 certified SPA, wellness and medical SPA centres in Bulgaria, whose total number exceeds 200. The catalogue has so far been published in Bulgarian, English, Romanian and Turkish, with all versions also available electronically on BTA’s website.
