Balgarianovinite.com Sunset Port Festival in Pomorie will feature Roger Sanchez, Ostava, Krisko, Maria Ilieva and Mihaela Fileva, organizers said on Thursday. The August 22-23 event has BTA as media partner.
The event was unveiled during the signing of a cooperation agreement between BTA and Pomorie Municipality to promote the seaside municipality’s cultural calendar.
“Sunset Port Festival began with a very clear idea: to create a festival that is a complete experience. Two unforgettable days lie ahead, filled with different music and emotion. What brings them together is not only the venue, but the sunset, the sea, the open sky, the music, the artists, the people and the moment when all of this becomes one,” said Denislava Shishkova, a representative of the organizers. She said the team also aims to support local talent, with The Pomorians taking the stage, DJ Marti G warming up the audience on the first festival day and Ultraviolet also joining the lineup.
“It is a great joy to be part of the first edition of Sunset Port Festival. I am very excited because this will be a music event bringing together some of the biggest names in Bulgarian music today, and the lineup is very diverse, which will certainly add to the festival atmosphere. As an artist, I am impressed by the organization. The fact that we will be by the sea makes it even more magical and special,” said singer Mona, who will perform on the first festival night.
“I have worked with the organizers for quite some time. We have done many different events together. What I like most about them is that there is a larger cause behind everything they do, and it is directly linked to Pomorie. Another point is that each successive event becomes bigger and more successful. What is now happening at the port is a completely logical continuation of everything so far,” said Dimo BG, who will perform on the second festival night. The combination of the sea, the sunset, yachts and a large stage naturally lends itself to a great house-music party, and that is exactly what has happened, in the best possible way, he added.
“Diass and I are the first Bulgarian DJs who will play at Hi Ibiza, the best club in the world, in Ibiza. This will happen two weeks after the festival, so we will be able to present part of our programme at the festival,” Dimo BG said.
“The good thing is that this event is connected entirely with Pomorie because the organizers are from Pomorie. These are young people who have found their path, who are very active in their business, but do not forget their hometown. In this context, Pomorie Municipality is not the organizer, but a partner and supporter of these young people in making their dream come true, for Pomorie to enter the country’s cultural life,” Pomorie Mayor Ivan Alexiev said. “Pomorie is naturally connected with the sea, tourism and cultural life, and Pomorie Port is a place where the port itself is in the sea. It opens onto the sea and is a new venue, already emblematic for our city, its guests and tourists. This festival will breathe new life and a new atmosphere into it. Pomorie is a city with spirit, a city with ancient history and a wonderful future, while preserving the spirit it has carried since the time of Yavorov, the ancient Anchialans, the old Greek families, salt, the sun and, let us not forget, wonderful wine,” Alexiev added.
