The International Troyan Grand Prix 2026 karate tournament will take place on October 10 at the Troyan Sports Hall in Bulgaria, the organizers said on Thursday. Around 500 competitors from 23 clubs are expected to take part in the competition, including several teams from Bulgaria and Belgium, with interest also coming from North Macedonia and Greece.
Competitors of all ages will compete in kata and kumite.
The organizers were surprised by the strong interest in the tournament’s first edition and they are considering expanding it to a two-day event in 2027 to accommodate more participants.
The event is organized by Atnes Karate Club with the support of Troyan Municipality.
