Critics marveled at President Donald Trump pulling an old favorite anecdote about choosing between sharks and electrocution out of his pocket during an event at the Rose Garden — ripping the commander in chief and suggesting he’s suffering from dementia.

Speaking Thursday evening at a dinner for more than 100 hunters, anglers and outdoor leaders, the 80-year-old world leader invoked a scenario which Trump-watchers noted he hasn’t mentioned since the 2024 campaign.

“I said, let me ask you a question. If you get a little leak in, the water starts coming in your boat and you’re in electric, do you get electrocuted or not? He said, ‘You know, nobody’s ever asked me that question,’” Trump said, allegedly recalling a conversation he once had with a boat manufacturer.

“And I said, so here’s my question. Do you remember this? They used to say it during the campaign, driving the press crazy, but people found it sort of amusing.

“I said, so if I’m an electric boat and I see them going down and the water’s pouring in, so I know I’m going to be electrocuted, but five yards away there are sharks. Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks?” Trump added.

“And you know what my answer was? I’ll take the electrocution. OK,” he noted.

“He’s back to the shark story!” MS NOW’s Joe Scarborough exclaimed on Morning Joe after playing the clip. “Electric boat, or sharks.”

“He’s playing the greatest hits again,” journalist Jonathan Lemire concurred.

Numerous critics suggested the anecdote revealed mental health issues in the President of the United States of America.
