The odds are not in her favor.
Gamblers are betting on President Donald Trump giving new White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia her walking papers much sooner than later, with the odds Zacharia gets canned by Nov. 1 shooting up to 94% on Kalshi on Tuesday morning, soon after she wrapped up her first press briefing.
It didn’t go great, according to most observers. CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins called it “bizarre” and noted Zacharia only answered a few questions before leaving the podium. Critics on social media were even harsher, with one left-wing pundit saying Zacharia was clearly not “ready for primetime.” Even one White House official told MS NOW that Zacharia needs to get much better “fast.”
The rough performance and brutal reviews apparently sent bettors flocking to Kalshi, looking to bet on Zacharia getting the boot.
As mentioned above, the odds she is out by Nov. 1 were at 94%, meaning gamblers would only make about $4 on a $100 bet.

The odds appeared to start moving slightly in Zacharia’s favor around 11:40 a.m. ET, after Trump told reporters “she did very good.”
And interestingly on Polymarket, Kalshi’s rival betting platform, Zacharia’s odds of hanging onto her job were much better. Polymarket gave it only a 4% shot Zacharia was fired by the end of October, meaning a $100 bet would net almost $2,000 if she was canned by Halloween.
Beyond the bad reviews, Zacharia’s intro briefing did lead to some news. She announced that Trump had asked U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign following multiple reports on alleged corruption.
