The Council of Ministers will review reports on State budget execution and government debt at its meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet’s press service said.
The budget execution report and the annual government debt report both cover 2025 and are listed on the meeting’s preliminary agenda.
Ministers are also due to approve draft conclusions on the effective rehabilitation and maintenance of waterway infrastructure on the Danube and its navigable tributaries.
The agenda includes proposed amendments to the programme for humanitarian support and integration of displaced persons from Ukraine granted temporary protection in Bulgaria.
Ministers will also consider a bill amending the Criminal Code.
The government is expected to approve an addendum to its agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to support monitoring and verification of an investment in new renewable electricity generation and storage capacity.
Ministers are also due to approve proposed amendments to the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for 2023-2027. They will discuss the terms for granting temporary interest-free loans from the central budget to municipalities to finance costs associated with approved applications for support under the plan.
Several proposals to approve additional expenditure under the budgets of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health are also on the agenda.
The Cabinet will also consider additional spending under the Ministry of Youth and Sports budget to implement the Programme for Financing Youth Centres in Bulgaria for 2026-2028.
