The total production index in services of the business economy increased by 0.6% in July 2026 compared with the previous month, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted data released by the National Statistical Institute on Wednesday.
Compared with July 2025, the calendar-adjusted index rose by 6%, according to preliminary data.
Business services cover transportation and storage; accommodation and food service activities; information and communication; real estate activities; professional, scientific and technical activities; and administrative and support service activities.
Monthly changes
Compared with June, production increased by 6.9% in Information and communication, by 1.4% in Professional, scientific and technical activities, and by 1.2% in Accommodation and food service activities.
Declines were recorded in Administrative and support service activities, down 10.6%; Real estate activities, down 4.3%; and Transportation and storage, down 1.2%.
Annual changes
Compared with July 2025, production rose by 15.7% in Information and communication, by 7.9% in Transportation and storage, by 2.5% in Accommodation and food service activities, and by 1.9% in Professional, scientific and technical activities.
Production declined by 3.8% in Administrative and support service activities and by 3.4% in Real estate activities.
