Balgarianovinite.com Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry on Friday expressed the country’s solidarity with its ally Poland following the violation of its airspace by a Russian missile.
“Bulgaria stands in solidarity with our ally Poland following the violation of its airspace by a Russian missile. We reaffirm our commitment to NATO’s deterrence and defence and stand united with our allies and partners in safeguarding European and Euro-Atlantic security. Deescalation and diplomacy are indispensable for achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” the Foreign Ministry posted on X.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said earlier Friday that the Russian ambassador to Poland had been summoned over the missile. “Today, the Polish Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador in connection with the missile that hit Polish territory yesterday,” Tusk wrote on X. The object that fell in Eastern Poland on Thursday was identified as a Russian missile after the authorities discovered a crater and scattered debris in a remote area near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship.
