The Daily Show’s Jordan Klepper was thrown for a loop when a January 6 Capitol rioter not only demanded a “refund” from the government, but also said she’d “absolutely” do everything all over again.
Klepper spoke with Yvonne St Cyr on The Daily Show on Tuesday in a wild interview that touched on everything from mind control to shadow governments. Klepper noted that a group of January 6 rioters are currently suing the federal government for $18 million after President Donald Trump pardoned the rioters at the start of his second term.

“My name is Yvonne St Cyr, and I am waiting on $2,270,” she told Klepper.
She explained the money she paid was “restitution,” but she argued she shouldn’t have to pay it because she didn’t “break anything” while in the Capitol.

“And you want money back?” Klepper asked.
“Yeah,” St Cyr said.
A shocked Klepper laughed to himself as he responded.

“First insurrection’s free, right? I think that’s in the Constitution,” he said.
St Cyr was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release and she’s been fighting to receive her “restitution.” She told Klepper she not only believes she’ll get that money, but the rioters will be vindicated, and Klepper will feel like an “a*s” over his interview with her.
“It’s been devastating. People lost their businesses, divorces happened, so it’s been hard to watch,” St Cyr said about the effect January 6 has had on rioters.

“From what I’m hearing, it sounds like you guys were the victims of January 6th,” Klepper responded.
St Cyr agreed and added, “Oh, I’m gonna get more than that money back. We will be compensated, we will be vindicated, and you will feel like an a*s for this interview someday.”
St Cyr admitted she got caught up in the “moment” on January 6 and declared she’s “not the same girl,” but she also ranted about a “shadow government” controlling internet access for rioters on January 6, mind control techniques being used on citizens, and more.

“You don’t think there’s people that control what you do and what you film on this air. You’re controlled,” she told Klepper.
“I’m not being controlled,” Klepper said.
Klepper and his producer then pulled a bit on the guest with the producer telling Klepper to repeat his line but faster.

“I’m not being controlled,” he repeated.
Klepper and St Cyr eventually made their way outside the Capitol.
“You realize that we try to control our outside circumstances, but again, I have no control over anything but me, and that’s the one thing I learned. I am not January 6,” St Cyr declared.
“Let me ask you something. Would you do it all over again?” Klepper asked.
“Absolutely,” St Cyr said.
“Terrific! Guess we’re meeting back here in 2028,” Klepper announced as he closed the segment.
